One of the most iconic corners in Larchmont Village — the northeast corner of Beverly Blvd. and Larchmont Blvd. — is undergoing an unexpected transformation. What used to be a well-known convenience store is now in the early stages of becoming a pawn shop, according to new signage posted on the building’s exterior.
While the community is still reacting, many residents are raising eyebrows and voicing concerns about what a pawn shop might bring to the otherwise boutique-filled area. The corner property has long been a fixture in the neighborhood and its potential new use has sparked both curiosity and controversy.
